The Last Straw May Change the Way Your Family Celebrates Christmas

(Rock Rapids, IA) – Filled with heart and humor, The Last Straw is a new inspirational holiday film that may forever change the way your family celebrates Christmas.

To help stop the children’s constant bickering and bring back the Christmas spirit, the McDonald family agrees to resume an old tradition. With help from their neighbor “Gramps”, who is preparing for his first Christmas since the death of his wife, they build a manger for baby Jesus and create a soft bed by adding one straw at a time any time someone secretly does something nice for another family member. However, for one family member, a required act of kindness becomes more than he can take.

“The Last Straw hits all the right notes as a family-friendly holiday movie,” wrote Edwin L. Carpenter in his review for the Dove Foundation. “The acting is terrific, the story is interesting, and the situations are realistic. We doubt you’ll be able to watch The Last Straw only once. You’ll want to watch it again and again.”

The film co-stars Adam Johnson, Britani Bateman, Darion Willardson, Madison Bontempo, and Corbin Bernsen as “Gramps.” While best known for his role on the TV series L.A. Law, Bernsen also stars in the inspirational thriller Suing the Devil, which is available from Bridgestone Multimedia Group.

The Last Straw is now on sale for $12.99 from BMG through the Christianbook Group.

John Schneider and Eric Roberts Star in Road to the Open

(Rock Rapids, IA) – John Schneider and Eric Roberts star in Road to the Open, a quirky new comedy now available from Bridgestone Multimedia Group.

Road to the Open is a classic underdog story about a has-been tennis team, single parenthood, the quest for love, and a once in a lifetime shot at greatness. Struggling after the loss of his wife, Jerry McDonald (Troy McKay) is a balding hospital janitor and single father whose only semi-social outlet is tennis with his best friend, Miles (Phillip DeVona), who is still chasing dreams of stardom and working through anger management.

Reluctantly, Jerry agrees to play with Miles in a local tournament that could earn them a match in a prestigious competition.
