Short Film King’s Heart Features Music by Sidewalk Prophets

(Rock Rapids, IA) – King’s Heart, an award-winning short film, is now available from Bridgestone Multimedia Group.

The film is based on the true story of Louis Bellantoni and his middle son, Joey, the smallest starting offensive lineman for his high school’s varsity football team. Joey, who’s used to going up against players twice his size, is faced with seemingly insurmountable odds just three days before the state championship game when an attack on his family brings him to the point of destruction. At the eleventh hour, Joey must decide if he will throw in the towel or rise up in victory.

King’s Heart is an inspirational and must-see short film that shows that a life well lived will impact others, even when that life comes to an end,” wrote Edwin L. Carpenter in his review for The Dove Foundation. “This movie has earned five Doves, our best rating.”

The feature song of the film is “Live Like That” by the Christian band Sidewalk Prophets. The song was nominated for Song of the Year in 2013 at the GMA Dove Awards and peaked at #2 on U.S. Christian charts. The group, led by singer Dave Frey, won the 2010 GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year.

Starring Jason Dworak, Sean M. Grady, Tom Werther, Catherine Nastasi, Lawrence Mack, King’s Heart is currently on sale for $7.99 through the Christianbook Group.

Reggie’s Prayer

Reggie's Prayer

Reggie White stars as a football superstar turned high school history teacher who coaches at-risk kids in the inner city. Having recently retired at the height of his career, Reggie Knox is shaken when a young child is killed in a convenience store robbery. Not long after taking a job teaching and coaching troubled teens, Reggie discovers that neighborhood gangster, Mr. Portola (pro wrestler “The Big Show”), has been using the students in his local crime ring. When a young football player is kidnapped, it’s up to Reggie to get him back safely. A wild chase pits Reggie against Portola, while the life of a 16-year-old boy hangs in the balance between good and evil.

Reggie’s strong Christian faith is a powerful testament in this inspirational family film. Taking a lesson from Jesus’ “Parable of the Lost Sheep,” Reggie’s Prayer shows that one child’s salvation supersedes any material possession, including a Super Bowl ring. The cast includes cameos by Brett Favre and M.C. Hammer.

Meanwhile, a more covert battle waged by the Underground Railroad has been raging for decades. Station master William Hanby helps runaway slaves reach freedom, dangerously defying the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 and putting his own family in peril. The risk doubles when a bounty hunter shows up determined to make money by capturing escapees and returning them to their masters.

An inspirational family film, The Light of Freedom will educate and entertain you as it follows the stories of runaway slaves longing to be reunited with their families and the real-life historical heroes who risked their lives to save them.

Charge Over You

Medical student Sarah Goodall is grieving her mother’s death when she is assigned to write an essay on how the world came into being. Now, questioning her faith and her purpose, Sarah watches her life spiral downward, and a growing relationship with the mysterious bad boy Dane only adds to Sarah’s confusion. Once an honor student, she begins failing her classes, jeopardizing her scholarship and her future. Then, an American transfer student, Mike, takes a vested interest in Sarah and helps her rediscover what she’s counted as lost.

Creationism is a central theme in Charge Over You, which takes its title from Psalm 91:11, “For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” Although Sarah loses her mother, the young woman discovers a renewed sense of hope and comes to understand the mysteriousness of God.
