This film is about the fact that sometimes it is important for young boys to have friends that they can tell their inner-most fears and thoughts. "Fern Hill" is one of those coming of age stories, taking on a resemblance of the movie "Stand by Me'. In fact one of the characters mentions that their adventure is like that movie"but they are not looking for a dead boy". At times this movie is tense and other times it will make you laugh.
