September 01, 2010
Rock Rapids, IA - Bridgestone Multimedia Group™ proudly announces Maggie's Passage as the latest DVD addition to its website.
In this entertaining and inspiring story, 18-year-old Maggie Sirron (Ali Faulkner) runs away from her adopted Christian home after her father's tragic death. Trying to fill a void in her life, Maggie discovers that her birth mother does not love or want her, and she soon finds herself living on the streets alone. With no place to go, Maggie turns to the Bible and realizes that God has a better plan for her life, but she'll need the help of two unconventional but kind strangers (Mike Norris and Sheran Keyton) to return home to her adopted mother (Janine Turner) who never stopped praying for her return.
Maggie's Passage is director Mike Norris's second feature for 2nd Fiddle Entertainment, a company he founded in 2008 to produce quality Christian films with a faith-based message.
"The overarching message in the film is that we are never alone. Even in our darkest hour, it is never too late to seek out Christ," Norris said. "The film has broad appeal...to the adoption community, to the teenagers that are lost, to families dealing with confusion, loss, and grief."
As the son of actor and karate champ Chuck Norris, director Mike Norris grew up in the film industry. He began his career acting in action films and directing several episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger for TV. Norris made his first feature film, The Rage Within, in 2001, followed by Birdie and Bogey (2004). Norris said that his goal for Maggie's Passage was to offer a universal message of hope and redemption, especially for teens.
"I think what sets this movie apart from others is that so many films today show kids leaving home to get away from their families," Norris said. "This movie sends a strong and heartfelt message that there is no place like home."
Maggie's Passage was awarded five Doves, The Dove Foundation's highest honor, and the Dove Family-Approved Seal for ages 12 and over. The film is now available for $19.95 at gobmg.com.
Norris's next feature, Behind These Eyes, is currently in pre-production.
