August 17, 2010
Rock Rapids, IA - Bridgestone Multimedia Group™ (BMG) proudly announces Christmas Child as the latest addition to its DVD collection.
Christmas Child is an emotional story of mystery and discovery. As Christmas draws near, Chicago journalist Jack Davenport feels disconnected from the holiday, his work, and his estranged wife. When Jack's job takes him to Dallas, a perplexing photograph draws him to the small town of Clearwater, Texas, where he discovers an intricately carved nativity. As Jack delves into the mysteries surrounding the nativity and its creator, he uncovers secrets from his past, reunites with the family he never knew, and returns to the love who never left him.
Released in 2004 by Impact Productions, Christmas Child is based on the best-selling story by Christian author Max Lucado and airs every holiday season on the Lifetime Television Network.
"We are thrilled to bring Max Lucado's heartwarming Christmas story to life with this new release," said producer Tom Newman. "At its heart, Christmas Child is about reunions. We hope that families everywhere will find new reasons to celebrate their own holiday reunions with the timeless, inspiring themes of this story."
Directed by Bill Ewing, Christmas Child stars William R. Moses (Touched by an Angel), Megan Follows (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea), and six-time Grammy Award winning artist Steven Curtis Chapman.
Christmas Child was awarded the Dove Family Seal of Approval for all ages. The DVD retails for $14.95 and includes the original TV version and the full-length director's cut.
